“You’re not the one.
You’re the one around.”
Ini kalimat yang pernah
saya dengar dari cerita teman saya. Ceritanya ada seorang cewe yang ditanya
kenapa dia bisa yakin klo calon suaminya ini “the one” buat dia. Lalu terlontar
lah jawaban itu dan sebuah pernikahan pun dibatalkan.
Mungkin kalimat ini
terdengar salah dan #jleb banget buat si objek “you”-nya di sini. Tapi.. apa jadi
“the one around” itu segitu jeleknya yah? Karena klo dipikir-pikir the idea of
“the one” itu juga terasa absurd gak sih? Bahkan kadang bagi saya, istilah itu
terdengar magical dan too good to be true. I’m not saying this is impossible,
because some people do find their “the one” and live happily ever after. But,
c’mon.. Many people are don’t!
Teman saya bilang klo lo
tau apakah dia “the one” atau gak adalah saat lo mulai menjalaninya. Menurut
dia, the feeling of finding “the one” itu adalah proses. You’ll never know
who’s “the one” for you if he/she is not around you. Ada benarnya sih.
Klo menurut saya sendiri,
it doesn’t matter alasan lo menikah adalah karena dia the one or just the one
around. Itu pilihan. Klo mau berusaha nyari “the one” yang cuma kamu dan Tuhan
yang tau, ya silakan aja. Tapi klo mau menikah dengan the one around who always
there for you, boleh aja. Because in the end, marriage is all about caring for
each other. It’s about being a friend and be around for each other. Yes it is
about love, but it is way more than that. :)
